D'ESPAIRSRAY is one of the pioneering Japanese visual rock bands, internationally
recognized for its powerful live performances, heavy sound, and distinctive aesthetics.
Since their formation in 1999, the band has performed throughout Japan, Europe and
North America, including appearances at Wacken Open Air, Tuska Open Air, Ruisrock
and Taste of Chaos. After an extended hiatus, the band reunited in 2025 and returned
with the new single 'RAPTURE' and sold-out reunion concerts.
Career Highlights
- 1999: Formed in Tokyo.
- 2005: First European performance in France.
- 2006: First Japanese band to perform at Wacken Open Air.
- 2007: Released MIRROR; performed at Tuska Open Air and Ruisrock.
- 2008: Participated in Taste of Chaos (34-city U.S. tour).
- 2009: Major debut with REDEEMER.
- 2010: Indefinite hiatus following Human-clad Monsters FINAL.
- 2011: Official disbandment.
- 2025: Reunion announced for CROSS ROAD FEST.
- 2026: Sold-out Zepp DiverCity Tokyo concert, new single RAPTURE, appearance at B7KLAN J-ROCK FEST, KT Zepp Yokohama concert.
- 2026: Held a sold-out reunion concert at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo, released the new single 'RAPTURE', appeared at B7KLAN J-ROCK FEST in France, and announced an upcoming concert at KT Zepp Yokohama.
